That is not something that you might want always. You can have your important posts higher up on your home page (even if they are from an earlier date) and prevent them from being buried by newer posts on your blog.
You can customize the order of appearance of posts per category, per tag - or over-all - in a WordPress blog. Useful for using WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS).
2. Have important announcements appear on the top of the home page before the other content.
3. Show how many users are online. Modify wordpress themes to display this information in real time to visitors.
4. Run a poll within your wordpress themes.

Customizing any wordpress theme for Free

No Wordpress theme is perfect. Whoever has tried using any wordpress theme, whether paid or free, will surely know that no theme was really built for his or her application. Themes will always leave things to desire for. Even if you buy so called premium wordpress themes.
There are many paid and free wordpress themes out there, and there is sure to be one that suits you. But as soon as you install your theme, you begin to wonder ….
Can I change the size and color of my post titles? What about changing the font face itself?
How can I change the header graphics of the theme and deal with consequent header size issues?
How do I add a small form in the sidebar so that I can take users’ email id for sending them a free report and regular updates?
I don’t like the column width of my wordpress theme. How can I change these?
How can I add rss feeds from other content rich sites as posts on my site? (OR how do I get legal content for free!!!)
How do I enable my readers to share my posts with others via email and other social networking sites?
I don’t like the way my theme handles and displays images within posts. I would rather have more padding around the images and also a light blue thin line around it.
