Custom wordpress themes in less than 5 minutes

2 minute makeovers – Wordpress themes that were actually modified in 2 to 5 minutes.

We did a stopwatch count when we modified these wordpress themes below. And guess what? It took us anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes to make these changes in the wordpress themes. The look was totally changed by changing the colors, graphics and type. Moreover, features were added and subtracted. Much more could have been done, but we did not venture too far since we wanted to demonstrate what could be achieved in around 2 minutes.
Most of the modifications done to themes include the mod listed in the earlier post 40 useful modifications in wordpress themes that you can do in less than 2 minutes.

Besides changing the overall graphics, we have moved columns around, changed their size, changed fonts to make them more readable and attractive, and added these features too:

1. Automatic thumbnail generation (wordpress theme 1).
2. Borders for images (wordpress theme 1).
3. Poll (wordpress theme 2).
4. Takes photos from flickr (by tag) (wordpress theme 3).
5. Generate posts from rss feed. We used the bbc london news feed and automatically generated posts from it in wordpress theme 3.
6. Added gravatars (theme 4).
7. Added an email form in the sidebar in theme 5.
8. Added youtube video and photos from flickr in theme 6.
9. Added favicon.
10. Changed the order in which the posts appear on the home page.
11. Added a sticky announcement on top of the recent posts and below the header on the home page.
12. Changed background colors and patterns.
